The Metrics (Traction)

Hang on a minute… metrics? Traction? This all sounds pretty jargon-y to me. What on earth is in this section and will I ever be able to get my head around it? Yes. Yes, you will. There’s no way to get around that this section is full of strange phrases which shorten down to odd-sounding acronyms. But… we guarantee you will leave this lesson knowing your CACs from you LTVs. You may even end up loving data. We do.

Through their startup metrics, founders get to show what progress (traction) they’ve made to date and impress investors with their effectiveness and productivity. Investors get some insight into how well the current business plan is working and which direction the business is heading in as well as how well money is being put to work within the company.
